In a recent development, FanDuel president Christian Genetski alerted D.C. AMD crams 16 Zen 4 cores into gaming laptops with the Ryzen 7045 Series-

AMD has announced its new Ryzen 7045 mobile CPU family. Codenamed Dragon Range, it’s AMD’s new flagship chip for high performance laptops extending all the way to 16 cores.

Essentially a repackaged version of the Ryzen 7000-series already seen on the desktop, it comes complete with Zen 4 architecture and chiplet engineering, with an I/O die and up to two CPU core dies.

There’s also the same teensy little 2CU RDNA 2 graphics core in the I/O die, just like the desktop Ryzen 7000. That graphics is not, of course, intended for gaming. For that, AMD has RDNA 3, also known as the new Radeon RX 7000 mobile chips.

Back to mobile CPUs, this new family of chips tops out at 5.4GHz in the Ryzen 9 7945HX, which is the full 16-core monster. AMD is pitching the 7045 Series as both th…

At less than $0.05 per GB, this Prime Day SSD is the perfect way to bag NVMe speed for a HDD price-

This particular Team Group SSD is now sold out, but the good news is the 1TB version of the same drive is still on sale for $58.99. There are also a few other 2TB NVMe drives on sale for around the same price as the Team Group model. This Silicon Power 2TB drive ($98.99) is actually selling for a dollar less than the Team Group, and the Crucial P3 Plus 2TB drive is going for $104.99 as well.

When it comes to the world of SSDs, the ones that grab all the headlines tend to be the fastest or largest ones. This deal from Team Group is neither of those things but it’s still a great deal, for one simple reason.

At a cent under $100 for 2 TB of NVMe storage, you’re paying less than five cents for every gigabyte. I know it might seem like I’m laboring the poin…

Hideo Kojima games have already gotten big reappraisals 5-10 years after release, now the auteur says he wants to make games that will impress space aliens centuries into the future

Remember how everyone thought Raiden was stupid and dorky when Metal Gear Solid 2 came out, then ten years later the consensus was all of a sudden that MGS2 was a postmodern masterpiece? Well now we know what the endgame of that “Kojima Cycle” might look like: Future space aliens agreeing that you should absolutely give Death Stranding another shot.

Kojima’s meditation on the potential afterlife of a piece of art comes from a fan Q&A organized by Anan News (by way of GamesRadar). In response to a question about the mindset a successful game developer needs to have, Kojima replied that it’s “to make something that you’re satisfied with. Or rather, you can’t create something that you are not satisfied with.

“For starters, the way art is evaluated changes with the times. …
